Second-Level University Master's Degree in Microsurgery
new: 2025 APPLY HERE
The Second-Level University Master in Microsurgery enables participants to learn both basic and advanced techniques in vascular and nerve microsurgery.
This intensive program includes online theoretical courses (on the Microsoft Teams platform), in-person hands-on training on animal models (rat), and the opportunity to carry out clinical internships in the institutions where the Master’s faculty members work.
The practical sessions are held at the Biotechnology Center, U.O.C. for Training, Research and International Cooperation, A.O.R.N. “A. Cardarelli”.
The academic title is awarded upon successful completion of a final assessment consisting of a written thesis and a scientific article (derived from the thesis) on a topic of reconstructive microsurgery chosen by the candidate, as well as the passing of the practical exam.
For the practical exam, the candidate must successfully perform (with patent anastomoses) at least two out of three techniques drawn at random on the exam day, among the following: arterial and venous anastomoses of choice, vascular graft and bypass, infrarenal aortic anastomosis, carotid and external jugular vein anastomosis, femoral artery and vein anastomosis, caudal artery anastomosis, kidney transplantation, free inguinal flap.
The candidate will extract a scientific article from the thesis and submit it to the Master Coordinator (simone.lapadula@unina.it), along with the thesis, at least 10 days before the thesis discussion.
The articles will be selected for publication in the international journal Plastic Reconstructive & Regenerative Surgery (PRRS).
To write the article, candidates must exclusively use the journal's official template, which can be downloaded from the following link:
